God:

(To reveal Bible verses, click or tap.)

God is the Creator. Our physical world reveals it, and God has made it plain (Romans 1:19b)...because God has made it plain to them.. God has always existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but He is One (Deuteronomy 6:4)Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.. He is omniscient (1 John 3:20b)..and He knows everything. (Job 11:7,8)Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than the heavens above—what can you do? They are deeper than the depths below—what can you know?, omnipotent (Job 42:2a)I know that You [God] can do all things;, and omnipresent (Jeremiah 23:23-24)Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.. God is eternal and never changes (Psalm 102:25,27)In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. (v25) But you remain the same, and your years will never end. (v27). He is holy (1 Peter 1:15-16)But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy., righteous, just, gracious, and merciful (Ephesians 2:4b)...God, who is rich in mercy.. (1 John 1:9)If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. And arguably the best of all, God is love (Romans 5:8)But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (1 John 4:16)And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them..

Jesus, the Christ (Messiah):

Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is the Son of God (Matthew 16:15-16)He said to them, "But who do you say I am?" Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.". He became human when conceived by God's Holy Spirit and born to a virgin named Mary (Matthew 1:18b)His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 4:4)But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law.... Christ died as a sacrifice for our sins and rose on the third day after His death (1 Corinthians 15:3)...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures... (Matthew 17:22b-23a)...he said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life.. Not long after, He ascended bodily into Heaven (Acts 1:9-11)After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven..

God's Holy Spirit:

By God's Holy Spirit, the believer is born again, renewed, and sealed for the day of redemption (John 3:3)Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. (Titus 3:5b)He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit... (Ephesians 4:30)And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.. The Holy Spirit also dwells within the believer (1 Corinthians 6:19a)Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?.

The Holy Bible (The Holy Scriptures):

The Holy Scriptures were inspired by God ("inspired" literally means God-breathed in the original Greek) (2 Timothy 3:16)All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness... (2 Peter 1:21)For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit..

Man:

Man was made in the image and after the likeness of God (Genesis 1:26a)And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.... Thereafter, "man" (Adam and Eve) did not obey God (Genesis, chapter 3), being known as the fall of man. Because of the fall, sin came into the world, resulting in death (Romans 5:12)Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned..

Prayer:

Within the pages of the Holy Scriptures, prayers are demonstrated and expressed in various forms. For instance, Moses talked (prayed) with God, similar to a conversation between two friends. Examples of the Israelites crying out to God in prayers of distress are in the books of Joshua and Judges (and other books such as Exodus). Samuel, as well as other prophets, prayed on behalf of others (intercession). In the book of Psalms, David prays on behalf of himself without the need for others' prayers. There is no singular, bodily position required to pray as prescribed in the Bible, so some ways to pray are by standing (John 17:1)After Jesus said this, He looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You.", kneeling (Luke 22:41)He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed..., lying prostrate (Matthew 26:39)Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.", or in bed (Psalm 63:6)...when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night;.
